This episode features part one of a conversation with my guest, Nathaniel H. Drew.
Nathaniel H. Drew is a native of Hampton, Virginia and was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. He is an ordained minister, a licensed therapist, an author, and a coach. He currently pastors the Breath of Life SDA Church in Memphis, TN.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in theology from Oakwood University, and a Masters of Divinity degree from Andrews University Theological Seminary. He has been recognized for excellence in church leadership in the areas of church healing, church growth, stewardship, community outreach, and administration. A well sought-after public speaker, Nathaniel has spoken for audiences all across the United States, Canada, Bermuda, and South Africa.
Nathaniel also obtained a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. He is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist, whose passion is to see the brokenness in the family system made whole. His personal vision is “Heal the family, change the world”.
Nathaniel is an accomplished author of two books. The first is a devotional book entitled, While You’re Waiting: God’s ‘Not Yet’ is Not a No. The second is entitled, 15 Ways to Make a Big Impact in a Small Church. His latest book was the catalyst that launched him into the coaching space. Nathaniel is the founder of The Pastor’s Arena. A platform that was started to help pastors take center stage in their personal and professional lives. Nathaniel believes that the most significant impact a person can have is not what they achieve, but what they empower others to achieve.
Through it all, Nathaniel considers his greatest accomplishment to be marrying the love of his life, Lillian Drew. A close second was the birth of their two daughters Linaya Joy and Noelle Desiree’.
In this episode, we have a candid, transparent, painful, and cathartic conversation about our introduction to fatherhood. We pull no punches and leave no stones unturned; from jealousy to anger, frustration to disappointment and regret. We name some of the most outlandish mistakes we made during this crucial time, and reflect on the invisible issues that were making very real (negative) impacts in those early phases.
